I know the family was in the Fulton Co. area in the early 1790s. My specific question is: Does anyone know of any proof that Gerrit's son Cornelius b. 4 April 1778 Schaghticoke, Rennsslelaer Co., NY married Lucy Lobdell b. 15 Nov 1775 Brookfield, Ct. All the genealogy books attest to the fact, but DAR requires some kind of "proof" other than genealogists. Land record? Tax document? history book article? Both died in 1839 so censuses won't do me any good. Please reply to corlissbss@aol.com . Any help would be gratefully appreciated!
