Shutts (1876-1950), daughter of Jacob Shutts and Mary Elizabeth Hale, married Edward J. Reid in 1896 in Fulton Co. Edward was the son of William J. Reid (1839-1920) and Alida ? (b. about 1852). I'm trying to pinpoint Alida's family name. In 1900, mother-in-law Maggie Lingenfelter lived with William and Alida (her age is messed up in the census), and she's buried as Magdalene V. [Van Nest, I think] Lingenfelter (1824-1905) in the Johnstown cemetery in the same plot as son-in-law William Reid and two grand-daughters. Alida isn't listed (she lived with Edward and Katie in 1930, age 76), and I can't find her as a child named Lingenfelter, making me wonder if her mother was married twice. Does any of this ring any bells with anyone researching in Fulton Co.?
