Of course I am searching for Cameron ancestors , many of whom are said to have migrated from Canada (Nova Scotia in particular) to Fulton County and Granville. I know of one who left Acton in Halton County to work in Gloversville at what else but as a glove cutter ! I am especially seeking birth information about one Charles CAMERON who was in the 26th of Foots, Cameronian Regiment from 1790 to 1800 when he was discharged at Quebec and travelled to Toronto (then Town of York). I have the rest of the story and am happy to share, but I need to know his parentage. He was b in 1783, either Inverness-shire Scotland or Quebec and is of Clan Lochiel, Fassifern. It is some of the Fassiefern branch who are said to have settled in Fulton County and Granville. Any left around there? I would be so pleased to hear any bit. Thank you so much.
