I believe John was born around 1894/95, so he would have been in his early/mid 20's in the 1920 census and the youngest of his siblings. The oldest was my great-grandmother Nellie. With a small black population I'm sure that there are still people that knew the family or are a part of the family. I'll certainly check the library and county clerk's office. I'd like to see Hannah's citizenship papers, they would be able to tell us something about her family. I have the names, addresses and phone numbers of the county clerks and libraries. I plan on making a few phone calls before I head up that way. I might be able to accomplish something over the phone or through the mail. Thanks for all of the useful information.
