Author: Angieangel Surnames: Dibble, Bean Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.franklin/6800/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi, I'm looking for a catholic birth that occurred in Burke (Mary Dibble daughter of Thomas & Alice Bean), Franklin, NY in 1880-01 and also a marriage in Bangor , Franklin, NY around 1879-80 of (Thomas Dibble & Alice Bean). Alice (17) and Thomas (22) were listed in 1880 census in Bangor. They move toward Canada soon after, on there way Alice give birth to Mary (on the 1911 Canadian census Mary give her birth place to be Burke, NY) I'm also looking for the birth of Alice Bean (7) (John and Rosa) they were listed in 1870 census of Bangor, Franklin, NY with her brother Joseph (9). It could be there also. They were living in St-Remi, Qc for the birth of their 2nd 3rd and 4th children. Alice died in 1887 and Thomas was in Malone by then (Census 1890 Malone). Can some one help me with this? I don't live in US. Thank you for your help, Agnes Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. You may already know that most French Canadian families with the surname Lefebvre changed it to Bean when they moved to the US. As in most cases, when they went to church the priest used their proper names. The Brushton parish records have this baptism dated 20 April 1881: Mariam (Mary), born 2 October 1880, daughter of Thomas Dibble and Eliza Lefebvre. Sponsors: Jean-Baptiste Lefebvre and Salome Leduc. Mary could have been born in Burke but baptized in Brushton. gc-gateway@rootsweb.com wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: Angieangel > Surnames: Dibble, Bean > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.franklin/6800/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > Hi, > > I'm looking for a catholic birth that occurred in Burke (Mary Dibble daughter of Thomas & Alice Bean), Franklin, NY in 1880-01 and also a marriage in Bangor , Franklin, NY around 1879-80 of (Thomas Dibble & Alice Bean). > > Alice (17) and Thomas (22) were listed in 1880 census in Bangor.
