Sarah Brayton married Philander Helms after his wife died. The Kimpton's and Hungefords were related, possibly they married sisters of Sarah. SOUTH MALONE-MAR. 16, 1885 Mrs. Sarah Helms, met with quite a serious accident on Thursday of last week. She had just returned from Potsdam, where she had been visiting friends and was on her way home from Malone with her son Albert Helms. They stopped a short time at Rodney Kipton's and when driving out of the yard, the sleigh was overturned, throwing Mrs. Helms out and fracturing her shoulder. A doctor was summoned as soon as possible and at this writing she feels quite comfortable and her many friends hope for her speedy recovery.
