NY: It was said that my Husband's gr-grandfather,John Gibson was born in Franklin Co. New York in 1839. His parents according to his death certificate were Napoleon and Sophia Jock. When John was ten his father passed away and John left his home and went to St.Agnes to make a living at that young age. On Oct 20 1863, He married Mary Carriere born May 31,1842, who was the daughter of Joseph Carriere and Mary Viau. It was said that John and Mary got married in St. Agnes Dundee which is to the North just in Canada I believe. We went to Malone NY because I have pictures of an elderly lady from a Malone NY studio. We also went to surrounding communities. As well as St. Agnes dundee and Huntingdon. As I find any info I would be glad to share it.
