The evidence is circumstantial at best.Your Dorcas Caroline Winchell was the sister of my ancestor, Sarah Elizabeth Winchell who married Seth Blanchard and lived all her life in Fort Covington, Franklin Co., NY. In 1870 a David Barker (72)was living with this Blanchard family. (David was listed in the 1860 census in Fort Covington living alone, and died in 1875.)In 1850, a James Barker was living with Elijah & Dorcas (Barker?)Winchell in Fort Covington.
