I also have a record of Col. John Franklin (b. 26 Sept 1749) marrying Abigail Fuller in Wilkes-Barre, PA, 25 Nov 1790. This was a reference in a historical text, but not proven with hard evidence. This was a second marriage for both. J. Franklin had previously been married to Lydia Doolittle and had three children, Billa, Amos, and Keziah. Abigail had previously been married to Capt. James Bidlack, who was killed in the Battle of Wyoming, PA, and had four children from that marriage, Stephen, Sally, Hettie, and James. Although I have seen three children listed as being born to Abigail and John Franklin (Ruth, John and David) in "online" family trees, I have read references that stated that no children were born to Abigail and John Franklin. It was stated that he raised the children as his own. I would be interested to know if anyone has hard evidence regarding possible children born to Abigail and John Franklin. Laurel Dearborn
