>From the surge in activity. it appears that this forum has received some publicity! While everyone is paying attention, I'd like to throw my ancestors into the fray.... Ebenezer Webb (1757-1846) Moved to Malone from Windham, Conecticutt. Married Abigail Rood. Died in Malone. Their son... Oliver Webb (1782-1849) Married Sally Nichols (b. Sudbury, VT). Lived entire life in Malone. Their son... Nicholas Webb (1816-1904) Married Fanny Clark. Lived in Malone and North Bangor. Three children: Henry Robin, Edgar Clark and Fanny. Nicholas' wife died at age 24. Later, in bad health, Nicholas moved to Crossville, TN to live with his son Henry, who had moved to Tennessee in 1884. When he died in 1904, Nicholas was returned to Malone for burial. My great grandfather Henry Webb married Rhoda Acenath Smith, also from North Bangor. Henry and Rhoda are buried in Crossville, Tennessee, my home town. Henry was a photgrapher and, among his old glass negatives, is a photo of the Eldred Hotel (in Malone, I believe). When he moved to Tennessee, he opened a small inn called "Spring Lawn". I'm curious if he may have begun his innkeeping career at the Eldred before moving south. Lots of questions... Did Ebenezer or Oliver have any more children? Does anyone have any information about these Webbs or their wives' families? Looking for ancestors, cousins and information....
