Years ago, most towns had a place called potters field. Since the Roman Catholic Church would not permit a person who committed suicide to be buried in hallowed ground, they were buried in the potters fields, but most of the people buried there were either poor and destitute or strangers to the area, the graves mostly bore wooden markers, that rapidly deteriorated.
