Hello all, As we seem to be on a roll with the surname listings, here's mine with a little detail in hopes someone can help... QUEOR, Peter m. Margaret KING ca. 1840 - he b. Canada 1823, she b. USA Peter served in the Civil War, enlisting from Cheteaugay, with the 193rd NY, Co. F and the 10th NY, Co. E (NARA records have combined him and his son, Peter, so there is some confusion). Margaret is listed as a WI (widow?) in 1890. QUEOR, Emeril "Henry" m. Mary BURNETT ca. 1880 - he b. Franklin Co., NY, 1860, she b. Canada 1863 Henry was a son of Peter and Margaret QUEOR. Mary was a daughter of Joseph and Madeleine BURNETT Henry was a lumberjack in Norfolk, living in Brushton after his retirement. Henry married second to Martha LABELLE ca. 1927. QUEIOR, Mary Louise m. Allan David JESSMER ca. 1907 - she b. Franklin or St. Lawrence Co., NY, he b. St. Lawrence Co., NY Louisa was a daughter of Henry and Mary QUEOR. Allan was a son of Sherman and Electa JESSMER (Electa may have been Martha, maiden name MARTIN). Allan was a steeplejack and died in a fall from a bridge he was working on sometime in the early 1920's. He was my great-grandfather. Allan and Louisa only had one child, my grandmother - Dorothy Frances - but they "took in and raised" Ann (maiden name unknown) who went on to marry Larry VanRiper. Louisa moved to Syracuse (after Allan's death?), ran a boarding house near Columbia Univ.? and married second to Truman RICHARDS ca. 1923. Family lore says Truman was a bootlegger during Prohibition. I've had a lot of help from fellow QUEOR, BURNETT and JESSMER researchers and for them I am grateful. I have a basic outline but would love to know more. Any help is appreciated. Thank you, Debbie (Sampson) Nobles in south-central Kentucky
