I am searching for the following surnames in Franklin County; Chenez: Desire Chenez married Mary Ellen Yelle, daughter of Louis Yelle and Cecile Morin (Moran). Desire was born in French Canada. Son of Henri Chene and Rose (Rosalie Paradis). Desire was killed in some type of accident at work, believed to have been a lumberjack? He lived with his wife, Mary Ellen in St. Regis Falls/Tupper Lake Franklin Co NY. His sister, Rose married Mary Ellens brother John. Mary Ellen also had a brother- Louis Jr. of whom I find that you married several times. Desire and Mary Ellen are my great-grandparents. I need a marriage date. I would appreciate anything on Louis Yelle and Cecile. I have little. All surnames are in this area during the mid-late 1800's Bissell/Bisel: Samuel Bissell/Bisel married Anna McGivney. Anna is from Ireland. Had a sister ? Ferhan which lived with her after Samuels death. Sam and Anna apparently ran a hotel in Malone, NY at one time. (Again during the 1800's) Their daughter Catherine married James T Palmer. Catherine died at a young age. They had three children: Anna Elizabeth b. 1890, Sarah which married a McPherson, and Charles of whom is believed to have ended up in or around Chicago, Illinois. The three children were raised by Samuel and Anna. (Anna is my grandmother). *Note my grandmother was born in 1890 and I wasn't born until 1964 all my leads are very minimal since my father was around the 10th of 14 children.
