Hi Debbie; A book called "Life on the Border" by William Reed was written about Reed's childhood in Northwest Franklin County, NY from 1823 to 1837. Originally written in 1882, it was reissued in 1994. I don't remember any mention of the kidnapping and rape information that you are looking for, but it is an interesting book, never-the-less.
