I know what you mean about the cemeteries being run down. I grew up in the North Country. When I was in school, a good deal of land was either under cultivation or used as pastures, but the disappearance of the small farmer has caused most of the land to revert back to forest and the small cemeteries are overgrown and some even forgotten about. My ancestors live there for over two hundred years and I still can locate all the graves. Surprisingly it's the ones from the late 1800s and early 1900s that are the problem! Rod Rodney L.
