Andree Thankyou for the suggestion. I will check it out, but I do know my Packard's came to Mass. in the 1600's then slowly migrated West. I don't know why they chose Franklin County, New York to go to, but they ended up in Michigan from there by 1863. I have a gap from 1845 to 1863 that I can not find my David Packard. I also can not connect my family from the time they came to Mass. until they pop up in New York. I do know my David Packard was the son of a John Packard who was born in New York somewhere. That is all I know. They both had such common names. Was there a wagon trail through Franklin County or something? Susan
