Mike, I saw this posting and wanted to share my story with you... I actually met my husband through the internet... My friend decided that I needed to 'date' and needed to 'find a man', so she answered a personal ad on the internet using my identity & email address. I later received an email from Karl, telling me all about himself. He sounded interesting but I had no idea how he got my email address and why he was writing. After Karl explained through future emails about the ad and the answer to the ad, I knew that my friend was the real culprit... By that time we had started to 'get to know' one another and I was "hooked". After months of emailing back and forth and numerous phone calls Karl & I decided to meet. We decided to meet at Phillip's Diner in Ogdensburg, New York... This was a little diner that I had known all my life and was comfortable in. Basically, the local hang-out. The diner is located on Ford Street and is a very friendly place to grab a bite to eat and chat. Well, we met there, had coffee, and began a romance that continues to this day... Exactly 11 months to the day after meeting at that little diner, we married. We consider the diner very important to us because we 'fell in love' over coffee and conversation. We have since moved from the area, but every time we 'visit', we always return to the place where we first met to share more laughter & coffee... Hope you'll enjoy reading my story as much as I've enjoyed living it.... -Take Care- Bobbi ----- Original Message ----- From: mike engle <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, August 12, 2001 9:53 PM Subject: Diners/Lunch Wagons Query > Hello, > > I am doing research on Diners and Lunch Wagons.
