I really appreciate it and hope I can reciprocate somehow, because now I've got another favor to ask! Can anyone recommend any published or unpublished books, letters, diaries, memoirs etc. dealing with the Plattsburgh area and its history? I need to check as many sources as I can find, for a book I am working on. I have seen the following: History of Clinton and Franklin Counties (author's name escapes me at the moment) "Three Centuries in Champlain Valley" by Jeannette TUTTLE "Briefly Told" by Allan S. EVEREST "Historical Sketches of the Town of Plattsburgh 1785 - 1975" "Chazy and the Revolution" by David Kendall Martin I'm sure there are more. Peter Sailly PALMER's works, plus others. I think there's a history of Chazy, but I haven't been able to find it. - What is particularly good and reliable as to fact? What are your favorites? Where are they likely to be found (some may not be available on Interlibrary Loan)? Please feel free to email me off list if this is considered off-topic. Thanks again everybody - Edie in Maine
