In 1865 it's doubtful! If you can find exactly where they were married you may find an entry in a ledger though. I am trying to find what happened to two sisters, Sophronia ("Harriet") and Mary L Parks Lukes. Sophronia was born about 1832 and Mary was born in 1837. Mary married Cyrus Lukes but not long after their marriage he was killed in the Civil War. In the 1880 Census, the sisters were alive and were living together, possibly in a home inherited from their father, Aaron Parks (he is buried in Irish Street Cemetery with his wife and another child, Orinda), in Constable. Thanks, Cheryl Morris

Timothy Martin had a CW Pension that was managed by Benj Bell. Could not find Francis or Frank Bell pension file. Have you written for the CW Pension files. While Rev War Documents are formal, the War of 1812 and CW have a lot of gossip in them. In one of our relatives file one of the witnesses says "I heard his father Jerome tell him ....." This is the only mention of the fathers name that the family has found in over 75 years of research. Suggest if you haven't written for them that you do. Does the new Westville Historical Organization have a web site? Anyway to contact?? Does anyone know about the new Westville book, as mentioned in a Plattsburgh newspaper article within the last few months? Thanks, Brian
Dick, A few years ago, I read microfilm rolls at the Family History Center that had data from the old Malone Palladium and Malone Farmer Newspapers. It was an easy film to read and had vital statistics. The Film Number was 1697719 and had about 6 rolls. You may find something there, as I remember seeing death notices etc. It's hard to find anything in newsprint from that era in Malone. Mac ----- Original Message ----- From: Richard C. Brauck, When I said "Registry", I was referring to the data that they have complied. You can go to the National DAR site and they will look in their Patriot Index at no charge. The web address is: http://www.dar.org/natsociety/pi_lookup.cfm. If you know where your ancestor lived when he joined the Army or Militia you may find additional data from the local DAR there. Mac

He is listed at his wife Rebecca's grave in Section E. There are other "Parks" in Morningside, as well. Good Luck, Brauck.
