    3. I am searching for marriage record information for a Wallace HILL, born June 1833 in VT (possibly Georgia, Franklin Co.); died 5 September 1910 in Chateaugay, Franklin Co., NY. He married Mary a. WHITE, born October 1831 in NY; died 11 September 1914 in Chateaugay, Franklin Co., NY. Marrtiage is believed to be about 1864, as the 1900 census says they had been married 36 years. Both James and Mary are buried in the Sandy Knoll Cemetery in Chateaugay. If there is anyone who might have access to information or could point me in the right direction, I would be most appreciative. Thank you! Michele Hassell hassell@mind.net Ashland OR

    3. RE: [NYFRANKL] Marriage in HogansburgThanks everyone: I guess I should have prefaced my inquiry by saying that I have checked the Catholic Church in Hogansburg where they said they were married but there was no entry in the parish register. I have also checked St. Regis. Was hoping that if there was a requirement for civil registration there might be the "official" record in some archives somewhere. Any suggestions ? St Patrick's Church Records, Hogansburg from 1843-1915, for example are located on film number 1450727 . I had a set from Malone and they were very detailed, even at early dates. There are at least 4 sets of church records for Hogansburg available. Go to www.familysearch.org There are also records for Malone and a few sets of records from Quebec that seem to encompass Franklin County. Good luck! 3. Hoganburg parish records 1843 - 1915 are on LDS Film 1450727. They include some records from Malone, Fort Covington, Hogansburg and Massina. 3. I seem to have missed some recent postings to this list, so forgive me if any of this is repetitious. Concerning early Hogansburg marriages, have you found any clues in this website? <http://www.rootsweb.com/~qchuntin/crh.htm> The Rootsweb mailing list for Beauharnois-Huntingdon-Chateauguay, Quebec has been most helpful, and joining it for a while won't swamp your inbox. If that doesn't get results, my husband recommends RW's Quebec Research List. The lengthy daily emails are daunting, but in the end may be the best and speediest online help you can get for this particular search. Reminder: Whatever replies you get from this particular list, [even if they say, "No results"], be sure to email your thank yous promptly, or you will not get help from them a second time! Also, there are some baptismal, and marriage repertoires, published in small quantities, for stateside Catholic parishes, sometimes for several parishes combined. I thought there was one for St. Patrick's. If so, does anybody know which libraries have a copy? There are several for Kahnawake for sure. Barb G.

The person I am looking for is Huldah Parks GEE, I am trying to find her parents. She married Benjamin Gee in 1830 and all I know is in NY. I do know, that when their children were born they were in Hancock, NY. Huldah died the 18th of July 1866 in Chickasaw, Chickasaw Co. IA. Have you seen these names in your research? I am trying to find what happened to two sisters, Sophronia ("Harriet") and Mary L Parks Lukes. Sophronia was born about 1832 and Mary was born in 1837. Mary married Cyrus Lukes but not long after their marriage he was killed in the Civil War. In the 1880 Census, the sisters were alive and were living together, possibly in a home inherited from their father, Aaron Parks (he is buried in Irish Street Cemetery with his wife and another child, Orinda), in Constable. 2. I was wondering if someone can help me. See, I currently have a subscrition to Ancestry.com.. I have a few of the databases that they offer.. however, I am not on the "Passenger List 1851 -1891"; I never really thought it would be useful.. well, I did do a brief search it in and it did indicate that I have one person who is on the list for each name of (1) Lancto and (1) Lanctot but I have to "subscribe" to this section and you know the rest. I really do not want to join just to get the info of these two names. (I know they have the 14 day trial but I dont want to do that either --- just for these two names..) Can someone who has this give me the info for these two names?
