I don't find Mary and Thomas in 1881 Canadian census, I found a Jean-Baptiste and a Rosalie Lefebvre living in St-Remi with a Olice Maillour and a Duranceau family, It could be them, if so, because of Olive Maillour (I thing it's Mailloux ), it will be the Jean-Baptiste Lefebvre married to Rosalie Mailloux in October 16, 1849 in St-Constant. I can provide the church paper and census if needed. Thank you for anything you can find, Agnes Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The church records might be your best chance to get information. Try checking this website for early newspapers. http://news.nnyln.net/ The Malone Franklin Gazette, 1842-1899 is on the web site and you might find births and marriages listed there. Good luck with your Franklin CO. research. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Have you found them in the 1881 census? Also why did Thomas DIBBLE & Alice [Elise] BEAN [LEFEBVRE] move, (or move back?) to St. Remi? There were many LEFEBVRE families in & near St. Remi, judging by the 5 pages of LEFEBVRE marriages in Pontbriand's "Mariages de Comte de Napierville 1823 - 1970." Two other indexes [repertoires] for that area also have numerous LEFEBVRE marriages: One is for Laprairie parish, 1670 - 1968, and the other is for the County of Laprairie, 1751 - 1972 [for 14 other parishes]. We'd be happy to look up any LEFEBVRE in those 3 repertoires [also the Dibble / Daybles / other spellings] for you, if that would help. Just let us know. Some types of information that “may” be included is… Name and Rank, Regiment and description of service, Place of residence, Nature of wounds or disability, Date of death, Occasional reference to family members. Please send any requests for a lookup from this cd to me at HYPERLINK "mailto:scott1@digginbones.com"scott1@digginbones.com . Please be sure to put "Rev. War Pension Lists" in the subject line of your message. Please include the state they enlisted in and or filed in which may be the same state they died in. If you know a spouses name or birth date and or death date. Even if you are not certain that your ancestor served during the Rev. War, you may still feel free to ask for a lookup, as long as you know the person would have been of age to have served in the war. Scott Wolfe 1421 Hampton Ct. 3. You may already know that most French Canadian families with the surname Lefebvre changed it to Bean when they moved to the US. As in most cases, when they went to church the priest used their proper names. The Brushton parish records have this baptism dated 20 April 1881: Mariam (Mary), born 2 October 1880, daughter of Thomas Dibble and Eliza Lefebvre. Sponsors: Jean-Baptiste Lefebvre and Salome Leduc. Mary could have been born in Burke but baptized in Brushton. gc-gateway@rootsweb.com wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: Angieangel > Surnames: Dibble, Bean > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.franklin/6800/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > Hi, > > I'm looking for a catholic birth that occurred in Burke (Mary Dibble daughter of Thomas & Alice Bean), Franklin, NY in 1880-01 and also a marriage in Bangor , Franklin, NY around 1879-80 of (Thomas Dibble & Alice Bean). > > Alice (17) and Thomas (22) were listed in 1880 census in Bangor.
