My Great GReat Great Grandmother was a Jock. She had a Nephew who cared for her prior to her passing named Napoleon. The information I have, There were four son's of Amable(Able)and Catherine Roy of Canada Peter, Andrew, Carlese, and Abram. Upon Catherine's passing Amable moved his family to the Plattsburg area. Sometime after his first wife's death he remarried to, Appoline(Polly)Richer(Ritchie). Kellis(Carlese, Caleae)Jock Married Sophia(MNU) Their Children Calese Adeline Sophia Moses Phebe Lewis Sophronia(my GGG Grandmother) Andrew John Julia According to Newspapers from about the time my GGG Grandmother took ill she was reportedly staying at the home of her Nephew AND Niece Mr. and Mrs. Napoleon Jock at their farm at Cook's Corners which is near Fort Covington, NY or Bombay my memory is fuzzy about it. I found TONS in the old newspapers from there. Go to a search engine I used Yahoo and type in Northern New York Newspapers which in turn should either turn up a map or northern ny counties or a complete list of newspapers. I pulled up about 20 or so articles mentioning Napoleon. Franklin County is where the Jock's seemed to concentrate themselves as their are quite a few. If ANY of this is incorrect please let me know as i'm always willing to go the extra mile to give and recieve information that will fill in the blanks.
