    1. QUEOR/QUEIOR, BURNETT, JESSMER
    2. Debbie Nobles
    3. Hello all, As we seem to be on a roll with the surname listings, here's mine with a little detail in hopes someone can help... QUEOR, Peter m. Margaret KING ca. 1840 - he b. Canada 1823, she b. USA Peter served in the Civil War, enlisting from Cheteaugay, with the 193rd NY, Co. F and the 10th NY, Co. E (NARA records have combined him and his son, Peter, so there is some confusion). Margaret is listed as a WI (widow?) in 1890. QUEOR, Emeril "Henry" m. Mary BURNETT ca. 1880 - he b. Franklin Co., NY, 1860, she b. Canada 1863 Henry was a son of Peter and Margaret QUEOR. Mary was a daughter of Joseph and Madeleine BURNETT Henry was a lumberjack in Norfolk, living in Brushton after his retirement. Henry married second to Martha LABELLE ca. 1927. QUEIOR, Mary Louise m. Allan David JESSMER ca. 1907 - she b. Franklin or St. Lawrence Co., NY, he b. St. Lawrence Co., NY Louisa was a daughter of Henry and Mary QUEOR. Allan was a son of Sherman and Electa JESSMER (Electa may have been Martha, maiden name MARTIN). Allan was a steeplejack and died in a fall from a bridge he was working on sometime in the early 1920's. He was my great-grandfather. Allan and Louisa only had one child, my grandmother - Dorothy Frances - but they "took in and raised" Ann (maiden name unknown) who went on to marry Larry VanRiper. Louisa moved to Syracuse (after Allan's death?), ran a boarding house near Columbia Univ.? and married second to Truman RICHARDS ca. 1923. Family lore says Truman was a bootlegger during Prohibition. I've had a lot of help from fellow QUEOR, BURNETT and JESSMER researchers and for them I am grateful. I have a basic outline but would love to know more. Any help is appreciated. Thank you, Debbie (Sampson) Nobles in south-central Kentucky

    3. Since so many are listing surnames I may as well put mine in again. I only have one connection with Franklin county as far as I know. My great grandfather, Daniel Lee AIKEN, is said to have been born in Franklin Co. in 1825. but so far I have been unable to find any record of the family having lived there. His parents were Calvin AIKEN and Susan DEBOW. Eventually Daniel lived in Tompkins Co., NY and later moved to Warrenton MO where he died in 1892. I have a copy of his obituary. Where his parents lived or who his siblings were remains a mystery. Anyone have any answers? Thanks in advance. Dorrice Wallis Florida

    2. T. B. Tiffany
    3. I hope that someone in Franklin County area can help me with my search. As you are aware, it's difficult to locate/document family ties in a long distance mode. I presently reside in Moses Lake, WA. Looking for info on any or all of the following: George Kelley (born 1824- died 1918) married to Abigail Smith (died 2/4/1902). Information provided to me indicated George was born somewhere in Canada. George and Abigail had six (6) children.(Hirman, Myron, Lant, Georgena, Amelia and Silenos) Silenos (born 1859 - died 1916) married Mary Jane Ayers (born 2/12/1865) in Cooks Corners. Silenos and Mary Jane had six (6) children (Edith, Kate, Adrian, Clyde, Harold, and Pearl). Sometime after Silenos death, Mary Jane married a Moses (?-last name was French) and they resided in St Regis Falls. Mary Jane died 8/14/1950 in St Regis Falls. Mary Jane's oldest daughter, Edith (born 3/17/1895- died 12/8/1961) on 7/3/1904 married Howard Phillips (born 12/10/1878 - died 1/29/1952). They lived in St Regis Falls until 1918 when they moved to Norwich, Chenango County, NY. Is there anyone out there in CyberLand that can help me? --T. B. Tiffany

    2. I forgot to add to that posting.. that Willard Blair's 2nd wife committed sucide and could not be burried with the other two wives.. It is said that she is burried in a place called Potter's Field in North Lawrence New York... I don't have birth dates or death dates for her.. she had to have been married about 19112 or 13 because she had her first son Raymond in 1914 In response to this: I have a maternal great grandmother Elizabeth LaFontaine buried in this Potter's Field. I was told by my mother that at one time it was for those who did not have a burial plot when they died. Darlene McKinney Gutierrez [email protected] Southern California
