    2. Hello, Fellow NY Researchers! I am researching TRIM(M); GUYETT(E); ROBINSON; CHRISTIAN; FADDEN; FRENCH; McFADDEN; LAMPMAN; LaGROW, and lastly, DIXON. Most of these folks traveled back and forth between Franklin & St. Lawrence Counties, after migrating to NY from VT. I have gotten back to at least the 1700 in America on most of these lines, except ROBINSON. Wm. Robinson, born 1831 in Ireland was the first American.Robinson in this line. I have many collateral lines that may tie in, so shout out your surnames-I may have one of your long lost!! Hugs...Linda in Lucas, OH

    1. Re: NEED ACTIVITY
    2. Andree Thankyou for the suggestion. I will check it out, but I do know my Packard's came to Mass. in the 1600's then slowly migrated West. I don't know why they chose Franklin County, New York to go to, but they ended up in Michigan from there by 1863. I have a gap from 1845 to 1863 that I can not find my David Packard. I also can not connect my family from the time they came to Mass. until they pop up in New York. I do know my David Packard was the son of a John Packard who was born in New York somewhere. That is all I know. They both had such common names. Was there a wagon trail through Franklin County or something? Susan

For instance Susan states she has reached a brick wall with her Packards - does she know that maybe this is really Paquette, a French Canadian name. Go to this site for an explanation and to search your names and their possible original versions. http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~afgs/index1.html Would appreciate help with my line, any variation of BELEC - BELLECQUE- BAYLAKE - BELACK -BELAX.
