When a family member knows there hasn't been anybody interested in their genealogy and documents after they pass on, the family member should make wishes known to give materials to the local historical society, college,or University. Many universities now scan & digitize documents of genealogy, old newspaper clippings et.al. In smaller towns, the old courthouses and libraries have local histories stored away in the basement! All sources (e-Bay included) should be made aware to the public. Glad you wrote!
