He and his wife were members of the Dutch Reformed Church at Bellona, Yates Co. NY. "The forefathers of both Jacob Meserole and his wife, Ann Remsen, were among the first settlers of Long Island. The paternal ancestors of Mr. Meserole were French, and the maternal Hollanders, and the parents of Mrs. Meserole were also French or Flemish Hollanders. . . .
