Looking for anything you might have about father of my great grandfather, Thomas S. Betts, born inSyracuse in 1838. His father was also Thomas, born in England, married to Hannah Varney, born in England in 1810. Hannah's parents were Charles and Catherine Varney of England. Hannah was found in 1850 and 1855 census in Lyons, Wayne County, NY, married to Jos. Slattery, listed also was my g-grandfather Thomas S, Abigail, daughter of spouse, and several younger children. Am searching for anything I can find out about the older Thomas, am assuming he was in Syracuse at birth of son and there would have been a window of six or seven years before the children were found with their mother in Lyons. Hannah and Joseph are buried in Michigan, as well as my grandfather Thomas S. Thanks so much for any help you can give me. . Carrie
