Hello, I am looking for a vital lookup of a Frederick Fowler born 1880? died before 1920. He was married to a Nora Pheilean date unknown. These two people had two boys. FREDERICK FOWLER AND NORA PHEILEAN FOWLER 1. Frederick Thomas Fowler b; 1900-1908 ? 2. Cornell A. Fowler b; June 18 1908-or 1909 Cornell is my father , I know on his SS# that it gives the names of his parents. I also know that he had an older brother named Frederick. Also they were sent to live with a relative, ( one on each parents side) Cornell ended up in Moravia NY. I don't know where the brother Frederick went to. I have been trying to find any birth or death record on the parents or the son FREDERICK and especially Cornell ( my dad) for 25 yrs. I do have a death. He died 4-2-1965 in Jefferson Co. Ny CORNELL A. FOWLER b; 6-18-1908 (he ) always said he was born in Utica, NY ( ONEIDA Co. )... They don't have a record of him there, but now I need to know if he was born in a town around there. Also for this same person, the 1920 census says he was born in NJ. I wrote to NJ and they do not have a birth for that person on that date in NJ. I do have a report card for Cornell in Moravia NY, and also the fact that he took my family there and showed them where he grew up. So I know that is his report card. I was also told that the father died on the Lusitania when the germans bombed it. But when I looked on the passenger list it showed a whole family of Fowlers and none of the names sounded familiar, I was under the impression that he went alone. This time frame matches when the boys were sent to live with relatives. I don't know what happened to the wife. It's funny because on my mothers side I have 6 generations back but I can't even find my fathers birth record or real evidence of his parents. I appreciate your help... Thank you Anne NC I can't thank you enough for this lookup. I live 650 miles away so it is hard for me to take the time to go there.
Anne, I sure hope someone else on the list has been able to help you. My books only cover certain time spans one of which is 1777 to 1834 and the other two are 1809 to 1850 and 1834 to 1850. Anything past 1850 I don't have. I am sincerely sorry.
