    1. [NYFL] JanetI1111 (HAG(G)ERTY)
    2. Janet, These are the only two reference that I find to any Haggerty. I find both of these interesting enough to send you the entire listing of information on the off chance that they are somehow connected without you knowing it. 9675 Willard, W. H. of Boonville m 8/21/45 Sophia Haggerty, adopted dau of Daniel Eells of New Hartford, in New H.; Rev. Payson (9-9/10) CNY and 5342 Lockwood, Walter of the firm of Lockwood, Haggerty and Co., merchants, of NYC m 10/25/32 Hannah C. Hull, dau of John of Stanford (Dut. Co.) at the Friends Meeting house in Stanford (8-10/31). If you find any interest in either of these copy and paste all the info back to me and I will tell you what newspaper to find them in. I'm sorry there is no other Haggerty information listed. But if they died after 1850 I wouldn't have their death announcement in my books in any case. 2. January 21, 2003 Hi Rikki, Your willingness to do these lookups is a great kindness. I'm trying to find connections to the family of JOSEPH and PHEBE JOHNSON who owned a farm, according to the 1850 US Census, in CATLIN TOWNSHIP, CHEMUNG CO., NY, . That JOHNSON FAMILY listing is as follows: JOSEPH (42) - PHEBE M. (40) - LEROY (21) -SELICK (20) - ANN E. (18) - THEODOCIA (16) - MARY A. (14) - JULIA (09) - LAFAYETTE (08) -WESLEY (05) - ELIZABETH (03). The above mentioned JULIA JOHNSON (b. 1840) married LAFAYETTE ELLIOTT (b. 1824 ?) on JULY 17TH 1859, possibly at Millport, and shortly thereafter moved to Wisconsin. Any information about these folks would be truly appreciated. Sincerely, Ted Gibson Farmington Hills, MI .

    3. Keith, The public library in Rochester has the book. I'd be glad to look up whatever you need, no charge. Jennifer [email protected] wrote:I just discovered the subject book in a library. It's an index to "Aliens' Depositions" found in 54 volumes at the NYS library in Albany. Does anyone on this list have any experience with these records they can share with us? I won't be able to go there but I'm thinking about paying an Albany University student to go look up an Armitage that was in the index. But I'm not sure how easy or difficult they might be to use. 2. Patricia Givens Warner
    3. Rikki; I am looking for information regarding a lady named Cora Givens who died November 5, 1958. I have this information from the lady in charge of Green Hills Cemetery in Dryden, NY; "The original mortality list was typed by my predecessor, using the hand written Mortality Records. Her work was the basis for my records which have been updated and corrected over the past ten years as we have surveyed the cemetery and re-checked old records. She had included in her typewritten pages a Cora Givens, date of death 11/3/58, in lot 51, section 2. However, we can find no monument for this Cora Givens, nor can we find her listed in the hand-written Mortality Records. Clearly, the information came from some source, although we do not know from where. We have included her name in the above list and in our official records and will continue to research this". I have checked with the funeral director in Dryden, NY and he has nothing listed for Cora Givens. Lot 51, section 2 is a family plot........Bert & Anna Givens....and their children.....(Bert is my great grand uncle).....I cannot figure out who Cora is........perhaps there might be an obituary in your books....... Thanks, Patty

    1. ADMINISTRIVIA: Re: [NYFL] Will Do Lookups
    2. As the list administrator, I don't have any problems with the lookup requests going to the list. HOWEVER, please do not send your entire family history in an e-mail. I'm sure that Rikki only needs the names, approx. dates and locations to lookup the names and very lengthy e-mails giving your entire family history do cause problems for some subscribers. That is best left to be sent to others who are researching the same names and lines and in individual e-mails. Thank you, Rikki, for your generous offer.
