    2. Patricia Givens Warner-Woolschlager
    3. I am seeking information regarding Uriah H Clark, born in Dryden, Tompkins Co.,NY in 1829 and died in Harford, Cortland Co., NY in 1889. His mother was Joanna Clark who was born in Harford, Cortland Co., NY. On the death record for Uriah all that was said that his father was born in Lisle, Broome Co., NY. No name was listed. Uriah Clark married Anna Bishop born 1836 in Dryden, Tompkins Co., NY died 1872 in Harford, Cortland Co., NY. Her parents were Joel Bishop 1805 - 1881 and Maria Head 1808 - 1872. I've been told that they were natives of Lansing, but came to Dryden where he engaged in the manufacture of guns. Uriah and Anna are my great great grandparents.

    3. Seeking information on the parents of Sarah WARFIELD. To the best of my research she was born in Maryland about 1805. She married Valentine COON and had children Edward born 27 Sept 1833 and Eliza born about 1837. Sarah is found on the 1850 Federal Census for the Town of Farmington. She is listed as the head of the household at an age of 45. She listed her birth place as the state of Maryland. Also found in the household are: Mary A, age 23(?); Sarah age 21; Caroline age 19; Eliza age 12; Ebenezer Cooper (?) age 24 a shoe maker; Frances Cooper(?) ; Chisen Reasco(????) age 47 born in Maryland; and Edwin Reasco (??) 16 a laborer born in New York. The 1855 Census finds Sarah Coon age 49. Also listed are Edmond a son age 21, Eliza a daughter age 18, and Susan Seazell a sister age 31. The census indicates that she had been living at this location for 42 years. In 1842 Valentine COON is found purchasing land from a William WARFIELD, but I have not been able to prove or disprove any relationship. Thank you. Dave

    1. [NYFL] Christine Karns [FRENCH]
    2. Christine, Thank you very much for your kind offer of a Tioga County lookup. So far all of my family, from ALL sides came from Canada by way of Franklin and St Lawrence Counties and then just skipped straight to Onondaga County. With one exception, who came through Bangor, Maine and then skipped straight to Onondaga County and just plunked down and stayed here. You'd think it would be easy following such a direct path. It was. Now following them up through Canada is proving to be a challenge. Anyway. The only Samuel FRENCH's listed in the Central NY book in this: 3267. FRENCH, Charlotte, 39, wf of Col. Samuel, d 2/12/38 in Sullivan (3-2/14) appears in the Chittenango Herald on Feb 14, 1838. 3275. FRENCH, Samuel, 16 s of late Thomas, d 6/15/39 in Canaseraga (3- 6/19) again, the Chittenango Herald on June 15, 1839. And one listing in Western NY: 3259. FRENCH, _____, inf dau of Samuel, d 8/5/27 in Bath (3-8/15) appears in the Geneva Gazette on August 15, 1815 That's all that I can find. 2. Barb, This one took awhile, just to keep straight. :) 429. BARDEN, Olive W. (mrs.), about 37, d 4/26/36 at Flint Creek (member Meth. Ch.) (6-5/4) Appears in the Geneva Gazette on May 4, 1836. The only Elizabeth RUSSELL I could find is as follows: 8154. SMITH, W. P., Esq., late of Hudson, m 7/2/44 Elizabeth RUSSELL of Utica in Rome, NY; Rev. Beecham (9-7/6) This appears in the Utica Daily Gazette on July 6, 1844. I did find an Elizabeth PLATT that married a Samuel RUSSELL. If your interested in that let me know. As far as any RUSSELL between 1830 and 1830 in Niagara County, I see none that I can say for sure came from Niagara. I'm not that familiar with the area. (Although I should be, I live in Onondaga County, sheesh). But here is one that is most amusing and I thought you might like it too: 7671.
