I don't remember reading it. I was notified of the continued thread and so I am responding. I have her parents and back to Roger Goodspeed 1685 and married to Alice Layton. My Mom and my sisters are all members of the DAR Nathaniel Goodspeed. A Goodspeed family representative is buried there who fought in the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Spanish War, and the Civil War, as I recall. Have you been to the Goodspeed Cemetery in St. Armand? My Mom was born across the road and went to school at the one room school house that is just around the corner-it has been beautifully restored-all I've seen is the outside. Its wonderful. The Goodspeed Homestead has been resided -someone sent my Mom a picture. Martha Goodspeed b. 1840 married Sylvester Watson 2/18/1832 to 12/20/1918 They had the following children: Winfield H. b. 1876 died 11/ /1945 and married Marion Hutchinson. Maude Watson b 1881 to 12/08/1886, Walter Watson 9/ /1878 to / / 1944, William E. Watson / / 1866 to / / 1917, Frederick A. Watson 11/22/1860 and married Charity L. Goodspeed b. 5/22/1870 to / / 1944(they were cousins, Charity being the daughter of Wallace Goodspeed and Malinda Dix), and Adelaide , Addie, Watson b. 3/18/1863 to 2/22/1935 married to Edward or Edwin Simonds b. 5/10/1860 to 8.26/1934( this is my line). also, John Nathan Watson b. 11/27 1868 to 1/ /1933 married to Effie L. Goodspeedb. 7/26/1878 who was also a daughter of Wallace Goodspeed and Malinda Dix. Hope this is clear. Where do Lings come in to Goodspeed. Where did your family live in St. Armand?
