Bill, I believe the person to whom you are referring ins Dr. Asa Post, not Part. Asa Post was an early settler to E-town. A copy of a letter that he wrote in 1854 at the age of 87 giving the history of the Boquet Valley is included in George Brown's book, Pleasant Valley, A History of Elizabethtown, Essex County, New York, published in 1905. It is quite lengthy, covering most of eight pages in the book. He passed away on July 24, 1859 at the age of 92. If you aren't familiar with this book, it is full of info and many family geneaologies. Though the copy I have is an original, it was reprinted in the late 1990's.
