    1. [NYE] MITCHELL???
    2. I seem to recall someone on the Essex list looking for MITCHELLs. If not, I apologize. If so, here is a news item I captured from WNBZ in Saranac Lake: FIREFIGHTER LOSES HOME TO BLAZE IN TOWN OF ESSEX A double-wide mobile home went up in flames yesterday in the Town of Essex and is being considered a total loss. Although investigation is still under way, officials from Essex County Emergency Services say it the fire began accidentally, starting near a wood stove. The Whallonsburg home was owned by Mark Mitchell and his family. Mitchell is actually a firefighter himself and was kept from fighting the fire due to department regulations preventing him from doing so, on account of concern personnel may become too emotional and create unnecessary risk. Fire was spotted by a passerby shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday and more than 80 firefighters from nine departments responded to the scene. The $73,000 home was constructed with two roofs and a crawl space that provided many small locations for fire to brew. One roof of metal made it difficult for firefighters to douse water on the structure. It took nearly five hours to put out the blaze and no personnel were injured during the operation. No one was home at the time of the fire, but as it was completely destroyed, Mitchell's family will be receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
