News on 24 March 1921 for my g-g grandmother Susan Austin states: LAID AT REST The funeral of Mrs. Susanna Austin, who died in this city, was held from the home of her son-in-law, F.W. Offer, near Rozellville, Friday, March 18. Rev. Frank Zimmerman of the local Presbyterian church conducted the service. Mrs. Austin was the widow of the late John Austin, with whom she came to Wisconsin from Black Brook, Essex County, N.Y. state, 39 years ago. He died Sept. 14, 1905, at age 66 years. She was 76 years, nine months and three days old at the time of death. One son, Frank Austin, preceded her in death February 7, 1909, at the age of 27 years. Surviving are six sons, two daughters a large number of grandchildren and numerous dear friends. __________________________________________________ Six children were born in or came to Wisconsin with Susan and John, two stayed out east, in Vermont, according to the obit of another son. One of her sons was named George Peck, presumably from a first marriage. If any of this rings a bell with anyone, please help. Jim Austin
