I just wanted to let you know that I can also not find anything on my family. They are listed on an 1830 census, William O'Rourke, but that is all we find. He and his wife, Isabella had two children born there, William S. and Robert Rufus but there is no documentation of that. We find that on later censuses that list their place of birth. They supposedly lived in Chesterfield. My cousin traveled to Essex County from California and found nothing. Our only leads came from writing to Essex County and their response included copies of letters they had received from others researching the Rork and O'Rourke names. I have contacted both of those people and found one ancestor (or new cousin) from Iowa. It amazes me that people can live in an area and have two children but there is no trace of them on paper. While this probably not a help to anyone trying to find their family, at least you will know that you are not alone. Lisa Yates
