Hi, I have narrowed down the birth of my husband's great grandfather to either Moriah or Crown Point,Essex Co., NY. The year would be 1852. My question is : where would I write to obtain a copy of his birth cert., if I do not know the exact place or date of birth? Would it be Elizabethtown, or the town itself?
