My grandfather Gilbert John LaRocque born Nov. 18, 1899 said he was born at Post 37, Indian Setlement in Ticonderoga NY. His mother's name was Josephine and I believe his father's name was william. Doe's anyone know of any such things as Indian Post in or around Ticonderoga? I contacted someone with the history of Fort Ticonderoga, who said that there were not any births there at that time and the fort was in ruins. I am also looking for catholic churches that were around at that time that may have lists of births or christenings/baptisms.
