Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/YRB.2ACE/1313 Message Board Post: dear melissa i wish i knew unfortunately there is a lot of fog around our story because it was so painful, i know my grandfather's name is andreij (andrew in english) i wouldt be surprised that we would be from lublin because my mum always use to make jokes about the fact that she was from the city and my father from the country side. i could find out but i know it s not going to be easy since my gran lost his head in the working camps in the 70s in russia......... he was an eminent diplomat in the 50s in chicago and then ankara in turkey we don t really know what was his "range" in diplomacy because when we ask questions he s very vague for a dark reason i don t know however he ended up pealing chickens in a factory , after being a diplomat it s a bit hard core i think, then he went to working camps where he cought turbeculoses. my father has a brother his name is matchek he lives in dubai and a vet in the desert(mad isn t it?) he s 50 years old (i m not sure exactlty). we arrived in belgium in 1971 my mother had to go true hell to be abble to leave the country (isn t it ironique now poland is european! and i ve spended so much money on my belgian cityzenship! since i was officially a refugee of the UN) my faher was a translator polyglotte and he had a mission in belgium for a few months he used the oportunity to get the refugee status the MRAX wich is a mouvement against xenophobia racism antisemetic MSF( medecins sans frontiere) had given my father a certain dose of barbituric to fake a suicidal( to free my mother in poland) then when fainted the doc left and they called the ambulance to officialise the suicidal when he ended up at the hospital that s when the presented a demand 2 free my mother they said yes but my sister was supposed to stay there (she was 1) wich she refused so in the end they gave her the permission to leave with the baby when she got at the airport she presented her pain ticket and her passeport they gave her back only the ticket she freaked out (and when she freaks out the globe is shaking believe me!) so she ended up in an assylum for mad ppl for 3 months (with everything that goes with it, electricity "therapie"i m sure you believe me if i tell u she s a bit mad today!) so the MRAX again did a great job i don t know how but they freed her. then a year later i was born! and today i really would like to retrace our history for me my sis and our children. where do you live melissa?
