    3. I was able to get a Naturalization Certificate for an ancestor in 1855. If they became citizens, the certificates are available. I got one at the Town Clerk's office, but I suspect they are available from the US Immigration service. Sam Wait --

    3. I have the paperwork for my ggg-grandfather, as well. There were 3 documents: intent to become a naturalized citizen and a court declaration (both 1840), as well as the final agreement to support the Constitution in 1843.
