They married in Canada about 1825 and moved to Lewis, Essex County, New York around the year 1836. They had a number of children, including Joseph, Charlotte, Moses and Henry. Joseph died or left his family sometime between 1840 and 1850. Margaret remarried to Justin Tate. This family was the precursor of many of the Peppers in Essex County, New York.
