    1. [NYE] Re: Butler Cemetery?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Lynn, Maguire Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/YRB.2ACE/892.1 Message Board Post: I don't have information about Butler Cemetery but I have some information about one of the Lynn families from Minerva Township, Essex County, NY, which may be helpful to you. I saw today your earlier inquiries in Mar 2001 about "Carrie" Lynn and that her parents might have been Michael Lynn and Eliza Maguire Lynn. An Eliza Ann Maguire was a sister of my great-great-grandfather, Thomas Maguire Jr. Eliza was born in Essex County, NY in 1836. She died in 1925. She married Michael Lynn (Born 1827; died 1909.) This information came from my great-aunt Marie who sometime prior to 1969 made a trip to Minerva (Olmsteadville), researched the Maguire family, met distant family members, and wrote up her research. Last spring I obtained the 1850 and 1860 census records to substantiate Aunt Marie's research. The 1860 census, on p. 224 for Essex County, Minerva Township, lists Michael Lynn age 25 a farmer, born in Ireland Eliza " age 21 born in NY Lizzie age 11 months born in NY. In addition, Aunt Marie's research shows information about the settlement of Eliza's father's estate, and that in both 1882 and 1890, Eliza Lynn was living in Minerva. I seem to remember quite a few Lynn families in the 1860 census in Minerva Township. If you are not yet certain that this Lynn family might be your ancesters you may find a later census that includes your gg-grandmother's name with this family. If you are sure of it, please contact me, because I have additional information about Eliza's parents and brothers and sisters. Regards, Ann
