    1. [NYE] Re: Indian Posts?
    2. Try this again - lost it once. I think I can give a little possible info on your question. No, there were no actual "indian posts" in the Ti area at the time of your grandfathers birth. There was, however, an inn/restaurant in Crown Point often called the indian post, or the trading post. It was located right next to the ruins of Fort St. Frederick and Fort Amherst, just on the NY side of the bridge. There is a tar strip there now, used as a truckers pull off. The area surrounding it is often called the reservation. It was allegedly a stagecoach stop & remained in various reincarnations until it was demolished in the early 1970s. I have a post card photo somewhere (copied from ebay). Send me your address and I will try to send the picture.
