We have an Edmond Joseph--but no doctors, mostly carpenters. Lake Placid, AuSable Forks, NY Essex County. Just a note: there are Hudon's (also in our family) that switched their names from dit Beaulieu. I know it's confusing--try to find which one goes with what family---did you try the Essex County website?--how about just entering the surname in the search on your main page? Clinton County is close by too, so don't rule that out. Good Luck! Pat

(Town of Sullivan) Wisconsin. He was obviously a friend or acquantaince to my WALKER family there, as he wrote a statement which I found in Eli WALKER's probate. He knew them in Clinton Co. NY and in Jefferson Co. WI. The specific location in Wisconsin is now called Oak Hill or sometimes possibly written Oakhill. Known as Pumpkin Hollow or Pleasant Valley too. My WALKER family was from Mooers/Mooers Fork, Clinton Co. NY. My WALKER line was in WI by the mid-1840s. Let me know if this is of interest to you. Or if you come across any mention of WALKERs associated with your STEELE line. Let me know if I can be of assistance. I am in Wisconsin. Eli WALKER is my 3rd gr. grandfather. Data saved on Charles Sheldon because his wife came from Douglas MA (on the Rhode Island border) and they lived in Willsborough.
