The 1880 U.S. Census shows a Lot HADAWAY (age 81) living with his wife Mariaa (age 61) and s-i-l Susan COOK in Crown Point (Essex Co), NY. This would indicate he was born about 1799 (in NY). Is Mariaa a second wife, or another name for Arathusa? Could this be the same Lot HADAWAY? Who is Susan COOK? Lot HADAWAY also shows up Moriah (Essex Co), NY in the 1820 and 1830 census. My s-i-l (Sue) is also a descendant of Henry CLOUGH and Sarah HADAWAY. I'd be glad to exchange info with you. Peter Coughlan.

Where in Essex County was your David Ray in 1800?

It shows he had two (2) sons and a wife at that time. I would appreciate any information concerning the name of these two children, and/or the wife. I would be very interested in the occupation of David. Currently, I am researching a cooper (barrelmaker), who just may be related to him. Your effort would be appreciated.

Haven't posted in a while but I am still trying to find information about JOSEPH PARKER born in canada 1828 who married SOPHIE CHAMPAGNE/CHAMPION in Lewis in 1851. Their daughter JULIA married PAUL DEZALIA . They all seem to have settled in the Schroon Lake/North Hudson area, although my Great Grandfather CHARLES SIMEON PARKER was supposedly born in Crown Point and eventually ended up in Springfield, MA. . Anyone have information about JOSEPH'S parents or birthplace? How does one go about getting birth records before 1881? My Grandmother, CORDELIA PARKER was born, supposedly in Schroon Lake in 1882 & I can't even find one for her! I have written to a couple town clerks & received no answers even though I included a SASE and inquired about fees.

Hi all, I am looking for information on my great-grandmother and her family. She was apparently from Mineville. I haven't been able to get much info on her at all so far, and was hoping someone could help. Her maiden name was Philomene Garneau and she married Napoleon LeClaire, where they appear on the 1910 & 1920 census. ANYTHING you can find on her or her family would be greatly appreciated. I'm VERY new at this and feel like I'm stumbling in the dark so far. Thanks! Cathy
