    2. Doris Sheehan
    3. Posted on: Essex Co. NY Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/NY/Essex/10998 Surname: Moore, McCann ------------------------- Am seeking documentation for the marriage of William Moore (born 1834, Co. Armagh, Ireland) and Sarah Jane McCann (born 1845, Essex Co., NY, daughter of Richard and Ann Cassidy McCann). Marriage reportedly took place Jan 10, 1862. He was Episcopal, she Catholic. The marriage is NOT recorded in RC records in the area. Also seeking information on the baptisms of their first five children: Eliza "Ida" 1863, William 1864, Agnes 1865, Sarah Ann c 1869, Margaret "Maggie" 1869. All births occurred in Essex County according to census records. Where would a mixed-marriage couple such as this have married and attended church? What Protestant/Episcopal churches existed in Essex - or perhaps Clinton - County at this time? Any help greatly appreciated.

    1. [NYE] obit - Kenneth HURLBURT - December 1970
    2. Hello everyone, I'm new to the list. Just found out that my great-grandfather, Kenneth Charles HURLBURT, died in December 1970 in Whallonsburg (is Whallonsburg in Essex co?), NY and is buried in Essex, NY. He was born 7 August 1902 in VT to Charles Byron and Myrtle (BEARDSLEY) HURLBURT. I was wondering if someone (I know it's a lot to search) could help me find an obituary or even a cemetery inscription. Unfortunately, I don't know the day he died or the cemetery where he is buried. I don't have any experience with United States records, I am more familiar with Canadian (Ontario) records. This is my first move into international records. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Cheers, Gwen Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

    2. lucien hache
    3. Hello list, You might be interested in the "Families of the Pioneer Valley" CD which contains: "Springfield Families" by Thomas B. Warren. "Pynchon's Court Records 1638-1696". "Pynchon's Births, Marriages and Deaths 1638-1696". all of which were compiled from the record books he and his son kept for a number of years. I spoke to one of the people from Regional http://www.RegionalPublications.com and he informed me that the next CD's to be released will be Cemetery records for a lot of Mass & Conn towns. Also the "Dewey" series which is very similar to "Springfield Families" but from the Westfield Mass and surrounding towns. About 2000 pages of data and he said its only available in the Westfield Library. That one should be real good for us as lots of our people were from that area. Check out their site and let me know what you think.
