Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YRB.2ACE/559.1 Message Board Post: Joe, I am descended from Francois Charron and Amable Monette. My aunt did extensive research on our family tree (the Pinsonneau/Passino's) with the help of the AFGS and a New Jersey genealogy company. According to my records, they had 3 children: Fred, Sophia (my great grandmother) and Celia. I found the grave stones of Sophia Charron (they mistakenly engraved Sharrow instead) with her husband Alphonse Adolphus Passino (my great grandfather) in the St. John's cemetary in Keeseville. I also found Hubert Paradis (1828-1900) and Amable Monette (1813-1894) with Napoleon Duclos (1846-1914) with wife, Celia Paradis (1850 - ). I also found a marriage record for one of Sophia & Alphonse' sons, Fred to a Florence Goodroe, dated 1/1/1900. They had Sophia listed as Sophia Paradis with husband Alphonse Pinsonneau/Passino. I do not understand the connection between the Paradis' and the Charron's. Do you? I do not have Amable being married twice. Can you shed any light on this? Do you know their marriage date? I hope this helps you in your search. Do you have any additional information or understanding of this? Karen

Wills are buried. The plots were bought by John & yes there are no tomb stones there to identify them. Behind them are buried with tomb stones: William Wills d.1888 but name on stone is Wells, funeral records though indicate his name as Wills. Next to him is his wife Carrie Wills d.1894. Next to William are buried children: Freddie, Jennie & Willie Pattinson they all died at baby ages. The plots were bought by a John Porter but he is not buried there. Is this William the son of Anna & John Wills, it says on his stone under date of death: at age 48. If he was 48 when he died then he was born in the 1840's and could not be their son because according to birth records John Wills was born in 1843 according to the 1900 census. So could William be John's brother? They are in the Union Cemetary in Port Henry, Moriah township. Jack is the wonderful man from the Harland funeral parlor that showed us the location of these ! plots. We did not see any Reids buried there.

A question came up at work yesterday concerning middle names. Hopefully one of these Genealogy lists can help to answer it for me. Why do people have middle names? What was the origin? According to one lady from Greece, she claimed Europeans do not have middle names. Does anyone know anything about this??? Thank you very much. Anne

However, there is no tombstone for their plot. Thank you.
