John b. 1829 was my ggg grandfather,he was married to Lucretia Van Ornum also of Willsboro and is buried there in Memorial Cemetery. I believe (and am only really guessing) that his father Joseph was the brother of Melchor S. Hoffnagle. Do you have any further info on this line? Thank you for any help you can give me. Ellie

Surnames: Bigalow, Bigelow Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YRB.2ACE/907 Message Board Post: As we all know, federal census records prior to 1850 lists only the heads of families. Where would be the most logical place one could search for family listings for the years prior to 1850? I'm open to any and all suggestions. I'm pretty sure that the family I'm looking for were not Catholic (for baptismal, marriage etc. records) so I've pretty much ruled that source out.

    1. [NYE] Parker family
    2. Walter Pharoah
    3. I am researching the family of Jefferson Parker born c 1808 and died 4 Jan 1890 in Elizabethtown, NY. His death record says he was buried in Lewis W.G. Cemetery, and the undertaker was W. M. Marvins of Elizabethtwown. The information for Jefferson's death record was given by Frank Parker. I don't know his relationship to Jeff. In the 1850 census for Lewis Township, Jefferson was shown with a wife Jane or June born c1818 and children Julia born 1835, William born 1839, Emily born 1841, Harriett born 1843, Lewis or Levi born 1846, Ellen born 1849. His son Charles who was born 19 July 1847 was not with him. He may with an Aunt, Polly Parker Daniels who brought Charles and another Parker child, Amanda Melvina Parker(born 1836) to Pierrepont, St. Lawrence County where they were reared as brother and sister with the last name of Daniels. I would like to learn more about the children of Jefferson Parker. I have lots to share on Charles and Amanda and their descendants. Parker families lived in the next two residences also, namely Archibald born 1787, and Robert born 1824. I assume they are in some way related to Jefferson.
