    1. [NYE] Re: Hoffnagle
    2. Thanks to a fantastic list of the descendents of Willsboro's Melchior and Christiana Hoffnagle by fifth cousin John Hoffnagle of Plymouth CT, I can supply the following information: Samuel H. Hoffnagle (1802-1885) Cornelia Van Vleet (1819-1878) Samuel was the son of Michael Hoffnagle (1774-1806) and Anna Sheldon (1773-1856) Michael was the son of John Hoffnagle (1754-1806) and Lois Bradshaw (1758-1806) John's parents were Johannes Melchior Hoffnagle (1729-1791) and Christiana Grunwald (1716-1797), both of Frankfort, Germany. Many of the early Hoffnagles, including my great grandmother Harriet Hoffnagle Knowlton, are buried in Essex/Willsboro NY's Lakeview Cemetery. BILL KNOWLTON

The only Shedd in Willsboro is the elderly widow of Harry Shedd, who was the son of George Shedd. Harry Shedd married in 1927, so his father was probably born about 1875.
