Hi Listers, I want to take this opportunity to wish each of you the very best of Holidays.. Christmas is a very special time for me and my family, the more so this year as my immediate family will all be here in NY.....We worried some when my oldest son Fred5 moved to Salt Lake City 5 years ago, but considering he was working on the 60th floor of WTC #1 before he left, we have counted our blessings... I'd also like to mention that the list "Robot" automatically unsubbs folks after 8 "bounces", that's emails returned to me after being refused by your ISP..Many of these happen every day, a few causes no harm, but 8 a day get u unsubbed..:-( Not to worry, if u don't see mail, just send me a note, or send the list a note, I'll get that, and resub you... Bill, I believe the person to whom you are referring ins Dr. Asa Post, not Part. Asa Post was an early settler to E-town. A copy of a letter that he wrote in 1854 at the age of 87 giving the history of the Boquet Valley is included in George Brown's book, Pleasant Valley, A History of Elizabethtown, Essex County, New York, published in 1905. It is quite lengthy, covering most of eight pages in the book. He passed away on July 24, 1859 at the age of 92. If you aren't familiar with this book, it is full of info and many family geneaologies. Though the copy I have is an original, it was reprinted in the late 1990's. I saw copies of it when I visited E-town in 1998. Chuck Rapp Gresham, OR

--- You wrote: Where did you find the "St. John's Book"? Is it something that can be purchased? I live in NC so going to the Keeseville town library would be a long walk..... --- end of quote --- Speaking of the "St. John's Book", I think that means the parish records. I just tried to order that book through interlibrary loan, but no luck. If someone has access to it, would he or she be willing to look for any FULTONs or ADSITs listed? Particularly FULTONs since I am solid on the ADSIT family. Thanks. Pattie
