In the common OLD German beliefs.......... each female was given a Saints name as her first name. Most often this was used only in Church affairs and would not be used in any other circumstances. I have a Margaret b. 1751........ could not find her for years. Finally in a baptism of her son,(in Montreal, Quebec) she was listed as Anna Margaret SAULTMAN.
